Knowledge Coordinator / Internal Consultant - 00HUK

The Knowledge Coordinator /Consultant will support the Global Oil & Gas Industry Center while residing within the Center of Business Knowledge (CBK). This person will act as an internal consultant within Ernst & Young, gaining an understanding of the business needs of the Oil & Gas practitioners and industry center and working with CBK personnel to engage knowledge management leading practices in the areas of people, process, technology and content, leveraging the intellectual capital of the firm. This professional will also support the Ernst & Young Utilities and Chemicals communities on a secondary basis. Responsibilities:Align the firm's Center for Business Knowledge (CBK) products and services to the network environment for the Oil & Gas community of interest. Work with CBK and community members in the development, implementation and support of applications to meet the client's business requirements. Build and maintain effective client/customer knowledge relationships, serving as the central point of contact for knowledge within Ernst & Young specific to various communities of interest. Facilitate networks and people-to-people/people-to-information connections. Assist in the development and implementation of knowledge strategies, plans and processes for the acquisition, storage and use of internal knowledge and thought leadership through networks. Assist in supporting the area sales offices by assisting their ongoing pursuits with knowledge, technology, and training. Work on cross-sector and service-line integration activities. Consult with firmwide knowledge managers, maximizing knowledge sharing and utilization. Assist in the development and delivery of presentations on knowledge management to all levels of the organization and external clients. Assist in developing plans and coordinating communication vehicles (i.e. verbal, written, visual, electronic, virtual) among practitioner networks on information and knowledge initiatives. Deploy CBK knowledge tools to field practitioners by providing tools, training and updates on new or enhanced tools. Assist in development and documentation processes for knowledge acquisition, review, sanitation, submission and cleanup.
