Our proven business model concept and service products are applicable to a long list of other industries.JOB DESCRIPTIONWe have a need for several components of business planning, market forecasts and strategy development for the other prospective new market verticals. We have pared down the prospectives to a short list, now we need someone to develop the final analysis and business plan helping us prepare for entry into our new markets. This would be answered in the form of the following deliverables (including, but not limited to):DELIVERABLES (in both quantitative and qualitative forms, where applicable)• Comprehensive market definition analysis to include segmentation, size in volume and dollar value• Revenue estimates: potential size and dollar value of market demand (descriptive and segmented)• Environmental analysis detailing the strategic and operational challenges facing the targeted industry, prospects for future growth (include common external factors such as government regulations, economic influences, etc) and barriers to entry• Prioritized potential client list (by sector)• Competitor analysis (current and prospective)• Customer analysis: assessment of the targeted market’s current means of obtaining comparable market intelligence and our ability to meet those needs• Recommended improvements to our existing services to meet the specific information needs of this industry to include additional content (specific news/data subjects/categories)• Strategy development for entry into the new marketsYOU ARE:An MBA student seeking an internship or part-time work desiring to either gain, or apply existing, experience in a challenging research-intensive project. You should be someone who is intrigued by the many challenges of this information age, who appreciates that in many ways we are less efficient as a result of unmanaged information chaos, and who desires to play a role in solving the many associated problems. You should be someone who appreciates the need to keep knowledge workers aligned by connecting the dots of the multitude of disparate pieces of information. You should also appreciate the fact that by connecting these dots tremendous value is added to raw information that enables more effective, timely decision-making on the part of its users. Finally, you should have the strong desire and ability to spend a considerable amount of time researching the multiple facets of this assignment.
