Manager, Accounting Royalties Summary

The Manager of Accounting Royalties is responsible for implementing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures that ensure the highest level of efficiency while maintaining appropriate internal controls and compliance with US GAAP. This position works closely with senior management throughout the organization and reports to the Director of Accounting.

The company is located in Beverly Hills, CA and seeks a Manager of Accounting Royalties with 5-7 years of combined public/private accounting experience with a strong proven track record in managing personnel, general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly close process, budgeting, and consolidations. Essential duties and responsibilities include leading the Accounting group, which is responsible for the month-end close process and maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, including sub ledger to ledger reconciliations and account reconciliation's. The Accounting group supports the business and operational units by performing such tasks as recording journal entries, working through systems and reporting issues, analytical review and reporting.

Essential FunctionsManage the day-to-day operation of the general accounting department to ensure all transactions are accounted for in accordance with U.S. GAAP.Research, design, develop and implement financial systems, controls, policies and procedures to support rapid growth and expansion.Drive process improvement and identify opportunities for cost savings.Interact with accounting management regarding corporate financial matters.Provide leadership and coaching to team members in support of individual employee professional goals and ambitions.Work with the appointed auditors and tax professionals to ensure optimal value to the company.

 

 

Essential Manager of Accounting Royalties Skills & CharacteristicsMinimum 3-5 years of progressive financial management experience with at least two years as an Manager,Accounting Royalties in a medium-sized company.2-3 years of royalties experienceMinimum of 2 years in public accounting2-3 years experience leading and managing a staffBachelor’s degree in AccountingFinanceKnowledge and thorough understanding of US GAAPExperience in ERP system implementationStrong business acumen and logical problem solverStrong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groups of peopleDemonstrated leadership and coaching skills, experience managing teams and projectsStrong proficiency in Word, Outlook and advanced level Excel skills
