Manager / Director of Finance

Our client is a privately held company located in Akron, Ohio and is seeking a Manager / Director of Finance.  They have been in business for almost 50 years and have built a loyal customer following.  They have a strategic plan for growth and need a dynamic person to help achieve it.  This position has a consistent customer base, limited number of vendors added per year, and an opportunity to grow reporting directly to our CEO.

This hands on position uses Quick Books to manage the day to day work flow including cash flow management, payments, expenses, accounts receivable and invoicing customers.  In addition they will work with key vendors and manage contracts.  Yearly they will oversee the external audit process and the budgeting system.  They will also oversee payroll and benefits programs and be called upon to participate in special projects.

Requirements
 BA/BS Degree in Accounting required; advanced degrees (e.g. MBA, CMA or CPA) desirable. Minimum of three to five years of progressive finance and accounting experience. Broad knowledge of GAAP and related internal control structures for financial accounting and reporting systems and processes. Superior interpersonal written and verbal communication skills are required.  Proficiency with Quick Books and MS Excel is required.
