Manager - Internal/External Reporting

JOB SUMMARY:

·  Lead and manage the  preparation and filing of all SEC financial filings (e.g. Forms 10K, 10Q and 8K), including the review and preparation of all related consolidated financial statements, related notes and management discussion and analysis

·  Oversee and review the corporate consolidation close process, including maintaining and improving close processes.

·  Prepare and draft monthly CFO letter, including analysis of consolidated business results and preparation of internal consolidated financial statements.

·  Act as a liaison and assist external auditors in the planning and execution of annual audits and quarterly reviews, including the resolution of accounting and auditing issues.

·  Provide technical accounting support to senior management and business unit controllers, including evaluating accounting and financial implications of complex transactions.

·  Research and coordinate with business units the implication of all new accounting standards, including assessing the impacts to the organization and ensuring an accurate transition during implementation.

·  Supervise the collection and analysis of monthly and quarterly business unit reporting packages used to support CFO letter and quarterly and annual SEC filings.

·  Assist in various special projects for the Corporate Controller and CFO.

·  Supervise senior accountant(s).

·  Travel – this position will require travel to San Francisco for initial training. Other travel as needed.

·  Other duties as assigned.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Training:

·  BS in Accounting

·  MBA a plus

 

Job Knowledge/Experience:

·  5-7 years of combined experience in public accounting firm and or public company.

·  Systems knowledge in JDE, Oracle business intelligence tool and Hyperion a plus.

·  Superior technical analytical skills required.

·  Current and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles including, SEC Reporting and corporate consolidation close process

·  Excellent computer skills

 

License(s):

·  CPA a plus or work towards obtaining a CPA certification

·  Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

 

·  This position reports to the VP/Asst Controller. This position may supervise others.
