Manager, Recruitment The manager, recruitment is responsible for setting recruitment strategy, goals and ensuring compliance with EEO and OFCCP regulations as well as internal UPMC policy. The manager actively coordinates all affirmative action recruitment and OFCCP requirements. This position is also responsible for general human resource management activities outside of recruitment such as human resource projects. The manager oversees day-to-day work flow and recruitment activities for recruiters, employment specialists and recruitment assistants based upon operational and staffing needs. He/she develops and mentors a competent mix of recruitment staff, including administering performance evaluations and handling performance/behavioral issues while ensuring that all recruitment staff are competent in relation to federal, state and local laws/legislation regarding employment. He/she ensures compliance with all applicant flow requirements and compliance with all requirements related to pre-employment processes. Additionally, the manager develops multi-pronged, creative and effective approaches to recruitment, including development and maintenance of active networks for clinical recruiting to ensure appropriate pool of candidates for assigned recruitment base and that of other recruiters with PSD. A bachelor’s degree in human resources, personnel management, business or related field and five years of recruitment and human resources experience are required. One year of supervisory experience is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Strong leadership skills and abilities, strong independent decision making skills, and excellent organizational, interpersonal, and conflict management skills are required.
