Managing Director

Today, Modis delivers world-class solutions to more than 1,000 clients in virtually every industry around the world. Modis is looking for a dynamic, results-oriented individual to fill the role of Managing Director at its Seattle content-development business, WASSER Studios. WASSER Studios works with high-profile companies in technology and manufacturing—providing clients with documentation and training solutions. The successful candidate is highly motivated, high-energy, dedicated, and results-driven. The role requires an employee to be able to perform all of the functions that are necessary to increase branch revenue, gross margin, and net income by successfully developing a cohesive and productive team for sustaining growth and expansion. In this role, you will be supported by a team of managers, salespeople, and content professionals. Key responsibilities of the position are: Leading the organization. Communicating effectively with employees to ensure continued growth of both employees and revenue. Managing the business, including P&L responsibility. Effective hiring, training, and personnel management. Setting branch strategy, matching vision to tactical objectives. Overseeing successful fulfillment of client projects. The successful individual will be able to: Achieve financial goals. Increase market share. Teach and perform in a selling environment. Attract and retain a team of 50+ content professionals. Lead, mentor, and coach employees. Manage the branch successfully, strategically, and profitably. The following work experience qualifies you for this role: Required: Prior successful sales experience developing new business, negotiating contracts, and addressing customer issues Required: Prior experience managing a profit center Preferred: Experience selling consulting or outsourced services to direct client contacts Preferred: Experience in or extensive knowledge of the software-/product-development cycle, or knowledge of the technical-communication or content-publishing field The position of Managing Director is salaried, with benefits and bonuses that are based on financial results.  Job Reference Code: WS-MD Company: Modis, Inc.
