Status: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project, Employee Job Category: Marketing/Product Career/Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Years of Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Reference Code: M-120-md-42008 Marketing Analyst, Business Intelligence Marketing Analyst needed ASAP for contract-to-hire opportunity at a great company in San Mateo on their Business Intelligence team! The Marketing Analyst will work closely with the Marketing and Business Development teams in identifying and answering key Business Intelligence questions. *This is not just a reporting role, this person would need to provide insights as well. (Pluses: SQL, statistical packages, Excel, etc.) Responsibilities will include the definition of relevant metrics, report design, and providing Management with clear insights into growth drivers and risks and opportunities for the business. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded top performer who can be a key contributor in a high-energy growth environment. The position will report to the Manager of Business Intelligence. Responsibilities include: Working with cross-functional teams across the Product and Consumer Marketing teams to achieve solutionsProviding statistical and technical expertise throughout the Marketing and Business Development teamsAdvising and problem solving on website analytics data needsDefining and setting up queries for marketing managers, running against the data warehouseReturn on investment (ROI) analysis for all promotional campaigns including e-mail and direct mailDrawing Insights and recommendations on website-related metricsTracking and measuring the efficacy of acquisition and retention programsAd Hoc analysisExperience & Requirements: B.S. degree with strong emphasis on Business, Economics, Math, Operations, Statistics or related fields2-5 years experience working on large and complex analysis problemsExperience in an online marketing organization, e-commerce, or retail company is a plusExperience measuring and analyzing marketing campaign performance, acquisition programs, loyalty and other retention programs, customer lifecycle, etcProficiency with statistical software packages such as SPSS, R/SPLUS, Mathematica, or MatlabKnowledge of web analytics (conversion, campaigns, funnels) and associated system, such as Omniture, MS Access and/or Oracle SQL Developer savvy; Excel power userSuperior statistical and quantitative reasoning skills (e.g. forecasting key metrics, regression, correlation analyses, and economic modeling)Experience working with large systems and data setsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsUnderstanding of strategic and competitive issues Ability to work in a fast paced, high-growth environment About Aquent Aquent is the world's largest marketing staffing firm.
