In the sign making, specialty graphics and packaging industries, Gerber Scientific Products ability to differentiate from our competition and convey product and company value is critical. The role of the Marketing Communications (MarCom) Manager is to develop and implement in a strategic, consistent, and timely manner, MarCom Integrated Marketing Campaigns (IMC) that support our key product lines and product strategies, as well as GSP’s overall global corporate business needs. The MarCom Manager will create and implement the plans and IMCs that support the realization of business needs while extending the value of the GSP brand. Responsible for ensuring our MarCom strategies, plans, implementations, and processes meet business objectives, and are timely, brilliant, and measurable. Position is located at the Gerber Scientific Products headquarters in South Windsor, CT.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development and execution of global communication strategy to support the United States and specific international territories. Securing of the corporate identity and GSP brand value in global communications and messaging Support of measures leading to the enhancement of domestic and international brand awareness and creation of brand equity. Organization of global trade shows and eventsPlanning, management and creation of dynamic online content and articles including – website, multimedia content, videos, blogs, webinars, etc. Management of external agencies and contractors (for events, video, creative, etc.) Manage, support, and develop the marketing communications teamWork with product management, sales and director of digital solutions to transform basic product information into solution-based messages, and to execute the global IMCs. Write and oversee development of copy for all marketing contentPlan, manage and deliver on aggressive timelines while producing brilliant marketing communications materials for all new product launches and promotional campaignsAbility to travel worldwide
REQUIREMENTS:
BS/BA in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field is required. MS or MBA preferred.Seven+ years building B2B brands, driving customer outreach and acquisition programs within technology industries that market capital equipment and software.Proven ability to develop strategic direction and to execute tactical plans necessary to achieve marketing communication goals Demonstrated experience in the delivery of marketing campaigns and new product launchesExcellent writing, editing, creative and design skills Excellent organizational, management and multi-tasking skills An acute sense of design and presentation
