Marketing Manager

General Description:

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for designing, developing and executing programs that achieve brand and revenue objectives at both national and local levels.  Examples of program elements include print and digital media advertising, search engine optimization, direct mail and electronic direct mail, conferences and trade shows, continuity programs, channel programs and public relations. Skills used daily include creative design and development, content development, copywriting, technical writing, process design and communication, and quantitative program analysis.  The Marketing Manager will report directly to the Director, Marketing.

Basic Requirements:

· Highly analytical, organized and detail oriented

· Ability to translate complex, technical concepts into intuitive, easy to understand work products

· Knowledge and experience with project planning practices, tools and techniques

· Direct experience developing revenue generation programs; creating successful sales support programs; writing business and technical copy; developing and placing advertisements; developing and implementing direct response programs, developing and managing website content and search engine optimization programs and website analysis; and planning and managing trade shows and events

· Ability to work effectively on teams, balance and prioritize multiple competing initiatives and thrive in a fast-paced group that emphasizes consistent, sustained delivery of quality work products

· High degree of proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel

· Experience in both traditional and digital media, including current production methods

· Experience managing vendors or partner companies

 

Work Experience Requirements

Minimum:

· Minimum 4-6 years of marketing experience in corporate and startup environments.

Preferred:

· Some management consulting, channel marketing and/or product marketing experience would be an asset.

· Experience in advanced technology, physical security and/or video analytics/surveillance industries
