Summary

This position is responsible for providing financial support to buyer(s). Primary focuses are buy/financial plans, projections, replenishment and financial analysis.

 

Major Duties and Essential Functions:

The Planner will be responsible for providing analysis to support:  Merchandise, online and catalog strategies (including category, class, vendor, etc.)  Online and book recaps in-stocks best/worst sellers ad hoc analysis as needed. 



The Planner will execute the necessary steps of the re-buying process including re-orders, discounts, cancels, RTVs, discontinues and mass cancels.  The Planner will also communicate with the vendor, confirm delivery dates, track and expedite orders, and adjust initial order quantities where necessary.  Other responsibilities include residue/markdown projections, identification of markdown items, identification of future re-run opportunities and inventory currency analysis.  The Planner will also support the department in the 3-month projection and seasonal planning processes.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Bachelor's Degree Excellent Excel and PC skills Strong communications skills (written and verbal) Knowledge of retail environment Ability to perform in a fast paced, changing environment Strong analytical, financial, and communication skills are essential
