Dearborn has an immediate career opportunity in the Clinician Adoption Service Line for a clinician experienced in client engagement management of a wide array of activities including strategy, planning, physician governance, benefit management, process redesign, clinical content development, education, communication and project management.  We are looking for a licensed registered nurse (RN) or a certified clinician with management consulting and clinical information system implementation experience. The successful individual will play a valuable role in client activities related to Clinician Adoption of advanced clinical systems

 RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Delivery

·        Managing projects that will range from short term readiness assessments to multi-month "pilot" efforts to longer-term Clinician Adoption engagements. This includes facilitating Dearborn physician involvement in strategy, planning and engagement execution activities.

 

·        Ensure high-quality engagement delivery in a timely manner. This includes taking responsibility for defining, creating and monitoring the client deliverable quality.

 

·        Working at the client site and interacting with project staff, project management, executive management and the medical staff.

 

·        Integrally involved with the strategy, planning and set up of physician governance structures in response to advanced clinical systems needs.

 

·        Analysis of client environments and identifying how technology can promote change through improved workflow and clinical content for clinicians at the point of care.

 

·        May lead or support multidisciplinary design or clinical content/order set teams.

 

·        Identifying and developing additional opportunities for assigned clients that would include key components of clinician adoption.

 

·        Act as a physician advocate while balancing the needs of the organization and identifying amenable solutions for both.

 

·        Identifying and managing risk and quality assurance issues that arise during engagements.

 

 

SALES/SERVICES

·        Work with Client Services Executives to develop and expand client opportunities including support of marketing and sales efforts. 

 

·        Provide lessons learned to support ongoing development of Dearborn's Clinician Adoption practice within and beyond the current Clinician Adoption Methodology.

 

·        Contribute to the ongoing enhancements, definition, delivery and training of Clinician Adoption Services.  

 

·        Participation in recruiting, training and staff development.

  QUALIFICATIONS

·      Experience in delivering healthcare services and solutions in a hospital, healthcare IT vendor or professional services environment is required.

 

·      Effective team management skills including the ability to work with a variety of disciplines, physicians, nurses, executives and other clinical services.

 

·      Experience in definition, refinement, design, development and delivery of business and/or technical solutions is also required.

 

·      Five or more year’s industry experience with healthcare management consulting and clinical applications (planning and/or implementation); specific experience with CPOE and Clinical Documentation applications a plus. 

 

·      Has interacted at the C-Level with experience presenting to client executives. 

 

·      Intermediate to advanced expertise of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio).

 

·      Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

 

·      Knowledge of clinical information systems and vendor market.

 

·      Experience in clinical operations, managerial positions in healthcare organizations, clinical information systems process improvement and quality initiatives.

 

·      Strong project management experience; familiarity with project management tools and techniques is a plus.

 

·      BSN or RN required with related health care bachelor’s degree a plus.

 

 

 

Relocation is not required however individuals must be able to travel 80%.
