Click here to learn more about Scottrade.Position Summary:Business Analyst Coordinator is the administrative point of contact responsible for gathering business requirements, defining scope and researching solutions to fill business needs for projects that effect internal processes and external customers. The Business Analyst Coordinator will also serve as the main business contact for projects estimated at less than 40 hours (Scottrade Development) or 50 hours (CRI Development), and act as a liaison between IT and the business for such projects. This person will work with business units to document, troubleshoot and resolve system defects and will asssist Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts with research and documentation.Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as a project team member, from project initiation to deployment, on small to medium size projects with the responsibility of providing analytical review and working with the project sponsor(s) to document required SDLC documents for approval including creating process flow diagrams, use cases, tables and screen mock ups as applicable.Perform research and discovery analysis including elicitation of business requirements from subject matter experts by conducting interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. Document current and future processes and other surrounding context required to build technical solutions. Serve as the main Scottrade contact for CRI scheduling meetings. Coordinate with Business Analysts and prepare for meetings to review all items on the CRI turnover report. Follow up on issues with Business Analysts and/or business sponsors. Take responsibility for and remain knowledgeable of the status of all TT and VI projects and notify the business areas of status changes. Coordinate communication plan and user acceptance testing before project deployment to secure stakeholder approval of requirements. Communicate rollouts and technical issues to users for assigned projects. Assist BA's and Sr. BA's with document preparation including meeting agendas and meeting minutes for requirement elicitation workshops. Participate in select elicitation workshops as a facilitator or scribe. Monitor and assure assignment or action taken on all emails sent to the Operations Business Analysis centralized email box. Maintain and understanding of Scottrade business practices and the computer systems that support them and continually update skills in technology, brokerage industry, and business analysis through training and project work. Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for review and distribution to manager, sponsors, and senior management. Provide time estimation for requirements deliverable. Communicate with all levels of the business to inform them of product behavior, scope and direction. Monitors milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of schedule and identify/mitigate risk. Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.Required Skills Genereal knowledge of Systems Development Lifecycle methodology. Requirements Management tool experience a plus. Experience in business analysis and requirements definition preferred. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal including the skills necessary to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers or management and the skills necessary to write items such as reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to work independently or as a team member. Ability to work on several projects at once, manage details, execute effective follow through and meet deadlines. Ability to learn and maintain an understanding of Scottrade business practices and the computer systems that support them. Continually update skills in technology, brokerage industry, and business analysis through training and project work. Ability to work overtime if necessary. Foster company success through a professional appearance, being courteous to customers and all Scottrade associates and by having a positive attitude.Required Experience 1-3 years customer service experience required 1-3 years experience in Financial Services Industry-brokerage back office operations experience preferred. Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent education and/or experience in Business or Computer Science. Bachelors degree from a four year college or university in Business or Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
