Our company has been retained to identify a senior IT management professional responsible for an application development platform, including the Oracle Financials suite, and Java technologies.  Our client is a fast growing and large company offering a great professional work environment as well as the opportunity for advancement.

 

In this role you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for all development efforts as they pertain to the Oracle Apps platform, as well as Java teams.  You will have as many as 30 subordinates, including several Project Managers responsible for specific project completion. Duties will include:

 Work with internal stakeholders and business leaders to determine and validate application development requirements Interface with IT management to ensure process and methodology is followed Assign project tasks/deliverables to a team of PM’s, and monitor performance against plan Make decisions on the future and direction of systems and application development efforts Help to set internal and external strategy through implementation of best practices and new techniques Work closely with other IT teams to ensure that the proper resources are being utilized Interact with development team members to keep them motivated and up to date on strategy Manage internal and external consultants/vendors as needed.



The ideal candidate will have the following skills and credentials:

 Fortune 1000 experience within the past 2 years is MANDATORY Experience working within an Oracle Applications environment is MANDATORY Strong knowledge of development processes using Java and Oracle technologies is MANDATORY Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Masters/MBA preferred 10+ years working within the application development space Must be a great leader and able to keep a staff motivated and happy
