Spherion is currently working with a dynamic Fortune 500 organization in efforts to assist them in finding high energy Payroll Clerk in San Antonio, TX.  Job Description:IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION PLEASE SEND ME YOUR RESUME EITHER IN A WORD FORMAT OR PASTED INTO THE BODY OF THE EMAIL @ KristenParker@spherion.com THIS IS A 5 MONTH CONTRACT POSITION Must have 1-2 years EXPERIENCE!Responsibilities will include: Responds to telephone inquiries and complaints in a prompt, accurate, and courteous manner following standard scripts and procedures Input data for more complex transactions such as multi-state transactions or payments for temporary relocation moves Verify changes affecting net wages, such as 401K contributions, exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records have been processed accurately. Calculate and process off-cycle paychecks. Support any special process requirements to meet client requests. Read, understand and execute client process description details. Contribute to process improvement initiatives. Support and sustain a positive work environment that fosters team performance through own work and behavior.  Assist in training/education of more junior team members on operation procedures & policies. Coach inexperienced team members and provides first level advice on procedures/work methods, for those who may be at the same level.
