Part-time Opthalmic Assistant

WestGlen Eyecare has is searching for an Opthalmic Assistant to join our team oriented, patient- friendly Shawnee optometric  practice!

Job duties:

· Assist doctors, opticians and co-workers as required

· Place orders for contact lenses

· Conduct pretesting procedures for eye exams

· Counsel patients on use and care of contact lenses

· Answer phones, scheduling and reception duties, as required

 

Skills & Experience:

· Prior experience, especially in a private practice medical clinic is highly preferred but not required

· Minimum of high school diploma

· Patient care driven

· Willing to be cross trained – and to cross train others

· Basic computer skills - comfort level with, and willingness to learn, simple programs

· Reliable & trustworthy

· Professional demeanor & appearance

 

We will train the right person. WestGlen offers a competitive salary and optical discounts. Some half days on Saturday and some evenings required. We are a drug free workplace.
