Parts Specialist - Light Equipment

Midwest’s leading distributor, Bobcat of Cedar Rapids is looking for a Parts Specialist to sell spare and replacement parts and equipment in the parts room to customers with exceptionally high customer service at all times.  The Parts Specialist works along side the parts manager, assisting in duties and supplies parts to the service department.



 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 Read catalogs or computer displays in order to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices. Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers’ descriptions of malfunctions. Take inventory of stock and assist in inventory control. Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available. Examine returned parts for defects, and exchange defective parts or refund money. Mark and store parts in stockrooms according to prearranged systems. Discuss use and features of various parts, based on knowledge of machines or equipment. Place new merchandise on display. Measure parts, using precision measuring instruments, in order to determine whether similar parts may be machined to required sizes. Be available to greet and assist customers. Attend all necessary training schools. Assist service technicians with parts orders for machines in the service department. Assist as needed on company grounds to ensure a positive exterior image. Some building maintenance. Responsible for shipping and receiving for the branch. Receive payment or obtain credit authorization. Receive and fill telephone orders for parts. Fill customer orders from stock. Unload incoming freight with a fork truck. Make hose assemblies, dismount and mount tires.



Do you have:Proven customer service and communication skills? Mechanical ability? Computer skills that include parts look-up, inventory control and invoicing?
