Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.  Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments. May perform any or all of the following duties: Answers inbound routine telephone call inquires Assists with orders and reorders, benefit eligibility questions, and prescription status inquires. Escalates drug related calls to appropriate pharmacist. Makes outbound routine telephone call inquires and/or faxes to both patients and doctor's offices; assists with prescriptions with hold orders and payments issues. Escalates calls to pharmacist as appropriate. Assist with semi routine prescription processing such as; data entry, dispensing, identifying method of payment, order verification, stock inventory, purchasing, trouble shooting, counts and packages meds and affixs labels to prescriptions. Counsels patients regarding nondiscretionary information, benefits, use of plan, co pays, status of orders, and semi routine claim or inquire questions.
