Printer Service/Repair Technician

Applicant must have.

· Must be experienced in repairing HP, Lexmark, IBM, Canon printers.

· Have the ability and patience to provide phone assistance to technicians at customer account.

· Have the ability to assist end users in diagnosing and performing simple repairs by phone.

· Have the ability to manage multiple calls as required.

· Must be capable of quickly identifying parts from Service Manuals and other tools provided.

· Must have a good understanding of “On site / Field repair” environment.

· Be capable of performing printer training classes in our facilities for up to ten technicians.

 

Ideal Applicant.

Candidate needs to have the ability to analyze returned product and determine the cause of failure and prepare reports to the Quality / Operations departments.

Candidate should have the ability to perform “weakest link” analysis of newer products to assist purchasing and sales in identifying future parts requirements.

Candidate should be able to develop, document, and manage the process and procedures for performing printer tear down.  

Candidate should have a working knowledge of network printing, printer driver installation, firmware flashing, IP configuration, Print Que functions.
