Its consumer properties offer a comprehensive destination for the active lifestyle.The Active Network, Inc. is currently seeking a Product Manager of Directory.Job Description: The Product Manager of Directory is charged with leading the processes and staff involved with the development of the Active.com directory services.  Primary areas of oversight include Directory content sourcing and development (data base inventory), strategic planning, response to service use and analytics data (results tuning), resource planning and implementation (people and tools).Responsibilities:Directly supervise directory services personnel responsible for the areas of oversight outlined above Provide strategy and guidance for developing Directory content pertaining to a broad range of items including but not limited to; activities, events, classes, organizations, leagues, tournaments, venues, facilities, trails and routes Planning for the most efficient use of both internal and remote staff, crawlers, tools, import and verification methodology Prioritization of data base development initiatives Lead internal initiative to collect Directory information from existing resources, customers and partners Identify key opportunities for partnerships and Directory inventory development Participate in evolution of Directory Service results tuning, results presentation and paid/features listings strategy and implementation Analyze query and response data to develop insight and recommendations for modifications to service; i.e. null results, synonyms, areas of emphasis, etc. Serve as the principal contact with internal and external parties requiring integration with Directory, Search or Calendar Services Provide strategy to increase use of Directory Service, including development of key metrics to demonstrate increased usage and improving rate of relevant results Manage process for annual verification of sources and content within Directory listings Ensure accurate tracking and regular reporting of statistics for Directory Service Update Product Management team on Directory Service capabilities and advancements and their impact on our business strategy Support process for creating and tracking assets throughout the system for inclusion in the Directory Requirements:3-5 years experience developing and managing a Directory Services product and team Extensive knowledge of Directory Services and Search applications.  Preferably experienced with a portal providing Search and Directory service with knowledge of technology and processes for developing deep data base inventory and managing on-going data verification needs Knowledge and understanding of general business, advertising and marketing principles Demonstrated strategic planning capabilities Prior experience with new business development preferred Strong management abilities Strong leader, willing to learn new skills and be able to work in a team environment Excellent oral and written communications skills Ability to lead both technical and non-technical discussions with both technicians and non-technical personnel Don't let this great opportunity to work with a dynamic and energetic group of individuals pass you by, please apply now!
