We currently have an opportunity for a Business Team Leader to work at our Shenandoah, Iowa plant. The Business team Leader is a key member of the leadership team at a high-performance, premier, all-salaried plant within Eaton. Primary responsibilities include:- Promote progressive human resource policies and practices- Personally lead change to improve organizational effectiveness- Plan, organize and direct the activities of production and support personnel to ensure optimum operating and production objectives are met- Implement the Eaton Business System to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and productivity- Direct the training and development of production employees. Ensure effective use of the performance management process.- Coordinate the allocation of production and personnel requirements across all shifts based on production schedules and priorities- Lead the manufacturing process in safety practices and work habits- Participate in the development and implementation of all costs, profit and strategic plan objectivesJob requirements:- B.S. degree in business, engineering or a related discipline; MBA preferred- Three - five years progressively responsible experience in production manufacturing and/or manufacturing engineering- Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts strongly preferred- Demonstrated technical understanding of production planning techniques and current quality methods- Strong interpersonal and leadership skill set that is effective at all levels of the organization- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities in driving operations excellence in a manufacturing environment- Knowledge of the Eaton Business System (Six Sigma, ELS, PROLaunch) is a plusIf interested, please apply online at www.eatonjobs.com indicating salary requirements/history.
