National Board of Medical ExaminersProgram Associate, Operations Research We are currently seeking a Program Associate, Operations Research to join our organization. Primary duties include but are not limited to: Coordinate and manage research, testing and integration of new NBME systems and processes into operational status Define key system performance indicators and lead quality assurance process for both internal functions and services provided by partner organizations Design and conduct business, systems, technology and statistical analyses to enhance NBME operations and create innovative solutions and services Initiate and maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout project lifecycles Initiate, design and conduct independent research consistent with the organization's mission and strategic goalsKey deliverables include but are not limited to: Plan unit activities and goals in accordance with manager: Identifies needs and procures and coordinates resources and other team members’ input to support unit goals Effective project management including project plans, timelines, and reports that are aligned with Operations Research goals and NBME strategic priorities: Thorough and comprehensive; Useful to senior management for monitoring operational status; Facilitate decision making and long-range planning by management and senior management Status and quality reports on services provided to NBME by external partner organizations; Delivered in a timely manner; Survey and report designs consist of useful and appropriate indicators to facilitate ongoing quality initiatives QA strategies with test plans, scenarios and scripts, and outcome reports for application development; Thorough and comprehensive; Useful to developers for driving bug and enhancement programming; Useful to senior management. for monitoring operational status Modeling and documentation of business systems, processes and data flow. Effective communication strategy impacting intra- and inter-organizational groups throughout project lifecycles : Appropriately sharing plans and progress with internal and external customers; Organizing and facilitating meetings with decision makers maintaining documentation on consensus policies and procedures Effective participation in internal and external professional meetings: Present NBME research and accomplishments; Appropriately representing NBME, its mission and views; Pursuing and sharing knowledge Job Requirements include but are not limited to a combination of the following: Master’s degree or equivalent experience Three to five years of experience relevant to the technical and project management requirements of this position. Knowledge of current technology and systems related to databases, XML, cross-media publishing, digital imaging, multimedia production, and web development Advanced knowledge of data management and analysis including data modeling, ODBC, SQL, XML, and statistical software packages such as SPSS, SAS or other specialized statistical analysis software (e.g., LISREL, HLM, Mplus) Superior project management skills, including planning and budgeting Exhibits exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills Ability to influence cross functional teams on key issues Ability to independently design, implement and report on formal and informal research studies yet have the ability to work effectively in teams, sometimes in a supporting role Ability to analyze complex data and processes including evaluation of hardware and software, identify key issues, assess impact of options, and recommend solutions.
