Project Manager, Product Management

We are seeking a Project Manager in our Product Management group to be responsible for the successful implementation of solutions to maintain and enhance product websites and member communications.  In this role, the Project Manager plans, documents, schedules and manages multi-functional project activities and project teams to satisfy project requirements and  work primarily with the product, creative and IT project groups to ensure solutions are delivered on-time and within scope.  This is a new position in the group.

Primary responsibilities include:

 Develop project timelines and coordinate internal and external deliverables and schedules from concept through launch. Define and deliver business requirements for application development.  Manage vendors for new development efforts. Create and ensure execution of project and test plans. Regularly communicate status of projects to all interested parties. Share technical skills and knowledge with team members. Investigate and resolve product issues in conjunction with the technical team. 

 

Required background and qualifications include:

 

·  5+ years of project management experience in an internet environment.

·  BA/BS degree

·  Strong project leadership, management and influencing skills.

·  Strong planning and analytical skills with the ability to look at the broader perspective as it relates to business strategy.

·  Broad understanding of all internet technologies.

·  Familiarity with:

o Internet Marketing

o Website Analytics

o Microsoft Project and Visio experience (required)

o Business Objects (a plus)

·  Skill and passion for web communication and an understanding of Internet creative design and technology.

·  Strong interpersonal / collaboration / relationship-building skills.

·  Excellent written and oral communication skills, including management-level presentation skills.

·  Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech, rapidly growing and exciting environment and to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high attention to detail.

·  Creative problem-solving skills.

·  Must be hard working and self-motivated.
