SPARTA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer - M/F/D/V www.sparta.com Proposal Manager Job DescriptionProposal Manager will report to Manager of Programs and devote 60-90% of his/her time leading, coordinating, and tracking progress for all active proposals. The Proposal Manager will be responsible for all proposal preparation activity. o Manage and track all active proposals progress (prior to being sent to customer) o Conduct Bid / No-bid meetings o Status RFP/RFQ progress and schedule proposal reviews with upper management o Assign due dates to meet proposal requirements and lead the team to meet those deadlines o Establish proposal outlines, task assignments and section responsibilities o Gather proposal data from all areas as necessary o Assemble proposal volumes when required o Proof and edit portions of the proposal as necessary o Build proposal templates o Facilitate and improve proposal flow/ processThe Proposal Manager will also act as Deputy Program Manager for small programs. He/she will monitor cost, schedule, and technical progress on these programs and present periodic reports to internal management on their progress. Up to 10% travel may be required. Experience Requirements• Qualified candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Green Card holder • 3-5 years experience writing / leading proposals for government programs • Engineering or technical degree preferred • 3-5 years of technical writing experience desired • Fluent in English • Excellent communicator (verbal & written) • Composites / manufacturing experience desired, but not required • Program Manager experience or exposure to managing government programs is a plus • DoD experience is a plus • Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
