SoBran, Inc. is a rapidly growing technical and professional services company, serving government and industry for 20 years. We partner with customers to solve problems affecting critical missions such as Biomedical research, defense, homeland security, environmental protection, and national energy policy.  Core SoBran strengths include biomedical research support, engineering, logistics and supply chain management, mail sanitation and screening, and program management support. We are currently seeking a Proposal Writer to work in our Fairfax, Virginia location.

Under the supervision of the Proposal Manager, the Proposal Writer will be responsible for writing, graphics, proposal reviews, coordinating prime and subcontractors on proposal and working closely with the Business Development and Business Area Team to develop a high quality proposal and related presentations. This effort will entail the orchestration of technical and management approaches, oversight of the development of the cost volume, past performance volume and teaming strategy as well as oversight of the entire proposal development effort.

The Proposal Writer must be a team player who is an energetic self-starter and can quickly adapt and thrive in a multitasked, fast-paced environment. The Writer must be able to transition smoothly between being a task leader and assistant. The individual will work with internal and external program managers, engineers, finance, contracts, and HR to develop technical solutions for Government requirements. Individual may be called upon to brief proposal reviews to the highest levels of SoBran leadership. The individual must have advanced skills in writing, researching, interviewing subject matter experts (SME), organizational and time management skills. Individual will work in close coordination with other personnel at various geographically separated locations. The individual will utilize their understanding of customer requirements, budgeting processes; experiences in the management of complex acquisition, laboratory operations, engineering, and logistics efforts, and expertise in reviewing solicitation documents and developing solutions. Other daily activities may include: monitoring metrics, development of white papers and ROMs; interface with government and contractor personnel.

Requirements:

· Must have proven writing experience. The ideal candidate will have four or more years experience writing proposals for the federal Government in areas of communications infrastructure and/or information technology.

· Ability to interact with all levels of staff, especially mid to senior management.

· Be willing to travel on an as needed basis; Some travel is required.

· An existing security clearance is desired,

· The ability and willingness to hold a Government clearance is required.

Must have 3 or more years experience in one or more of the following areas:

* Biomedical, Chemical, Life Sciences, and Environmental Research and Support
* Research & Development Laboratory Operations
* Research Animal Management and Care (BSL-3)
* Aircraft (fixed or rotary wing) Avionics
* Critical Infrastructure Protection & Security
* CBNRE
* Modifications, Sustainment or Maintenance Operations
* Electronic Warfare Systems
* Communications Infrastructure or Transmission Systems
* Data Link Networks
* Logistics and Supply Chain Management
* Sensor Technology
* IT & CMMI Level 3 Software Development & Testing
* COTS and ERP (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft)
* Cyber Security

Education/Certifications:

· BS/BA required, advanced degree preferred.
