Public Relations Internship

Keystone National High School, the largest private online high school, delivers high-quality education to high school students across the U.S., in both online and correspondence delivery formats. iQ Academies, a virtual charter school management company, provides distance learning opportunities for a growing number of students around the country.  Aventa Learning is a leading provider of 6-12 education technology offering online high school courses and curriculum, exam review, Advanced Placement courses, classroom resources, credit recovery and educational technology for schools.

 

Job Summary:  This is a temporary position that will support student recruitment and retention strategies for iQ Academy, Arizona.  The Recruitment & Enrollment Specialist will work 15-25 hours/week both at the iQ Academy Arizona office and at events throughout Arizona.  The term of this employment is approximately May 15 through September 15.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Essential Functions:

· Make outbound calls to Communicate iQ Talent Show contest to current and prospective iQ Arizona students

· Coordinate Talent Show event activities between iQ staff and iQ families

· Participate in student recruitment activities as needed, including open houses and student orientations

· Provide student support during the first weeks of school in navigating the online classroom environment

· Provide support with end-of-year student equipment retrieval

· Other related duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

Work will be performed in the iQ Academy office in Tempe, AZ and at recruitment events throughout Arizona.

 

Experience and Education:

Minimum of a High School Diploma, 2 or 4 year college degree preferred

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with High School students preferred

Experience taking online classes preferred 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to work well with High School students

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Power Point 

Strong organizational skills

Strong level of attention to detail is essential

Self-Starter

Strong written and verbal communication skills
