Marathon Petroleum Company LLC is seeking a talented and self-motivated procurement professional to fill a full-time Purchasing & Contracts Representative/Analyst position at its Robinson, Illinois refinery. PURCHASING & CONTRACTS REPRESENTATIVE/ANALYST The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively managing, negotiating, and supporting corporate refining contracts and supply agreements; preparing and managing electronic competitive bid packages; working with various electronic and mainframe purchasing and materials management systems; establishing and maintaining strategic business relationships with key suppliers; negotiating terms and conditions on material pricing and rate schedules with vendors. Applicants must have the ability to conduct advanced commercial total cost of ownership market analysis, negotiate and execute service contracts, possess teamwork, adaptability and influence skills. Applicants must possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills, computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Bachelor?s degree is required preferably in Procurement/Supply Chain Management. Relevant experience is preferred. Pay is commensurate with experience.
