Purchasing Supervisior/Manager

Job Summary:  The Purchasing Supervisor is a key member of the supply chain team, responsible for sourcing, procurement, and supplier quality management for a high mix/low volume electronics OEM.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

· Ensure that required materials and equipment are procured in a timely manner while meeting cost targets and quality requirements.

· Manage supplier relationships to drive performance and quality improvements as well as cost reductions.

· Lead new supplier selection process, ongoing audit requirements, and quarterly business reviews.

· Assist Director of Materials in developing new material/process flows, sourcing strategies, and new supplier relationships

· Coordinate with Planners and Warehouse to ensure timely processing of product throughout the manufacturing process.

· Interface with Accounting regarding financial issues with suppliers, inventory, and product control

· Responsible for hiring, management, and development of all purchasing staff. Manage scheduling, training, and performance review activities.

· Develop, document, implement, and improve departmental processes and procedures in accordance with our Quality System. 

· Prepare regular written management analysis and reports regarding the purchasing activities.
