Quality Control Analyst

Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring Data and System quality and assisting in new product development for BMS and other key business systems. This role will focus on administratice management of the internal change control and development process as will be a key tester and troubleshooter for all BMS and other CBS systems. This role will require working with internal non-technical and technical resources on compliance to procedures or system issue resolution and correction.

 

Individuals in this position will need a detailed understanding of all policies and procedures regarding the systems development life cycle include those required to create, distribute, monitor project requests. They will possess an understanding of the existing business systems from a user perspective, with some understanding of its technical requirements. This Analyst will have a good understanding of client expectations and ensure that operating procedures are being completed correctly  to meet those expectations.  This individual will also need to have experience working with web/windows based systems.

 

Quality Assurance Analyst will work for the Project Manager and or CIO to track system requests, ensuring all procedures are followed according to policy and test systems for errors/bugs before releasing to clients.  They must be willing to suggest any procedural or technical improvements that may be made to improve systems or the development process.  This role will also work closely with operations personnel and other departments to constantly improve systems.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Ensure quality, acccuracy and completeness of all procedures, according to policy defined for the development process incluidng new and existing systems development for defined Crtital Business Systems . (ie.,BMS, Novar, ROS, etc.)

 

Ensure consistency of the all documented material produced through the development process including compliance with established protocols and the standards specifically Sarbanes Oxley.

 

Ensure all products/systems are functioning as designed.

 

Pretest and verify  IT data or development work before users or clients.

 

Skills and Knowledge

 

· Required Excel/Word/Email skills. Some experience with Web based  is a must.

· Must have good verbal and written communication skills.  Must be able to communicate well with IT and users who may not be well versed in the procedures and specific user requirements. 

· Ability to establish and maintain a high-level of user trust and confidence from users and concern for their needs.

· Good business analysis / testing skills (puzzle solving skills) is preferred.

· Prior experience working with a structured IT department is good.

· Prior broadcast, ad sales and ad trafficking industry experience is strongly preferred.

· Willingness to learn is a must.
