The Quality and Risk Management (Q&RM) Senior Analyst (Senior 1&2) possesses subject matter expertise and is the initial or secondary point of contact for client teams. This individual provides research and analysis across a variety of functional areas; interprets Q&RM policies, determining required actions and making recommendations based on firm guidance and acquired experience; and analyzes issues and produces deliverables to document the diligence with which such tasks were performed, as the work product for these individuals is subject to review and scrutiny by outside regulators. The Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional whose knowledge has been expanded through exposure to diverse and/or complex Q&RM situations and who can provide counsel/guidance on complex issues that deviate substantially from the norm. Responsibilities Understand key requirements of firm and regulators' independence rules and policies and is also knowledgeable about other areas outside of Q&RM. Perform or consult with Q&RM Analysts on the initial review of submissions from client teams and evaluate completeness, accuracy and appropriateness of proposed transaction/requests. Propose suggestions and solutions for improvement and/or develop new approaches or deliverables by leveraging Q&RM and business experience and existing Q&RM processes. Facilitate and drive the process to completion by following up on requests from Q&RM Consultants and assisting the client team. Conduct necessary research to resolve conflicts and/or obtain materials required to initiate the firm's Business Relationship Evaluation Tracking (BRET), Public Company Independence Process (PCIP), Personal Independence or other Q&RM processes. Be able to answer complex, non-routine questions from client teams. Act as a liaison between the client teams, other members of the Q&RM team, and various functional areas within the firm (i.e., Center for Business Knowledge, Finance, Strategic Sourcing). Manage tasks and activities in a timely manner and be responsible for specific outcomes. Use analytical and project management methodology and tools. Review and analyze reports to identify variances or trends that should be brought to the attention of management. Maintain and expand current knowledge of fields of expertise and communicate new developments and resulting impacts to clients and team members. Identify and extract key issues and risks related to BRET, PCIP, Personal Independence or other Q&RM processes. Reference existing policies and use knowledge and experience to review unique and complex situations and, through specific consultation and inquiries of the client team, propose solutions to issues. May receive escalated matters or sensitive transactions to which to respond or process.
