Records Management Analyst
Streamliners, Inc., a workplace-productivity consulting firm, is in need of a Records Management Analyst capable of executing a variety of information management initiatives on behalf of their clients. This is a part-time, on demand position, requiring a high level of expertise, while affording the ideal candidate(s) flexibility and high-income yield.
A minimum Bachelor's Degree is required, with a major or minor in Library Science or specialized course instruction in records management a plus. Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of five years' demonstrated successful records or information management experience, and have the ability to research and apply state and federal records retention standards.
Requirements include the ability to work within projected timelines, work closely with project teams, communicate or consult with clients and liaisons, coordinate efforts with staff working on projects, and organize resources. Superior written, oral and consultative communication skills, and the ability to understand, analyze, interpret, and explain complex processes and business terms are a must.
Candidate must possess an understanding of electronic records, demonstrate superior computer skills to include word processing, database, and workflow or diagram software experience using Microsoft Visio experience is preferred. Travel may be required.
JOB FUNCTION GUIDELINE: Work closely with clients, staff, and project liaisons. Assist in developing and executing business classification scheme for physical and electronic information/records. Utilize records management best practices to assist in developing policy and procedures for compliance for end-users of records management program(s). Ensure compliance with existing records system(s), utilizing established criteria and standards.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's Degree required and 3+ years' experience in business environment. Records management industry experience a must. Experience in public and private sector records management a plus. Ability to identify and map workflow processes. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to understand, analyze, interpret, and explain complex processes and business terms. Excellent business background and terminology knowledge a must. Excellent time management skills. Work effectively with work groups. Function independently and collaboratively to reach project and program goals. Superior analytical skills, with a client service orientation and focus. Superior computer skills to include word processing, database, and workflow or diagram software experience (Visio). Records retention experience a plus. Strong organizational skills. Professional manner and appearance. Ability to exercise sound judgment and to make decisions. Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision a must.
