Recruiter/Human Resources Generalist position:
Job Purpose:
The Recruiter/Human Resources Generalist will perform full cycle staffing and HR Generalist functions. The position is responsible for developing and executing sourcing, recruiting and retention strategies that enable Prospect to recruit and retain highly motivated employees. HR Generalist functions include providing counsel and assistance on company and/or Human Resources policies and procedures including employee relations issues, and other HR projects.
Essential Functions:Develop and execute proven cost effective sourcing and recruiting strategies to identify, attract and hire qualified candidates using a variety of sources including best practice internet recruiting methods, direct sourcing, employee referrals, job fairs, networking and agencies. Continuously explore alternative staffing, sourcing, and selection techniques to align with industry best practices that support employee retention.Consult with hiring managers to determine hiring needs, position requirements, recruiting strategy, staffing alternatives, timelines to fill jobs and temporary backfill needs as appropriate. Update and train hiring managers on appropriate use of selection tools including resume review, interviewing techniques, candidate assessment and selection.Responsible for all phases of the recruiting and hiring cycle, including posting positions, sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, prescreening candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews, tracking status, preparing offer letters, ensuring background checks completed, negotiating compensation packages, preparing on-boarding schedule and conducting new hire orientation.Develop and analyze recruiting metrics to measure effectiveness, implement changes or other best practices. Analyze recruiting policies and practices and recommend changes as appropriate. Manage recruiting vendors, temporary staffing needs, agencies and accounts, negotiate pricing/terms and review invoices.Deliver new employee orientation fostering a positive attitude toward company goals and manage new hire paperwork in compliance with state and federal regulations. Partner with and provide guidance to supervisors and managers to proactively address employee relations issues including corrective action, performance management, development & training needs and legal compliance. Assist in resolving issues by timely investigating complaints and concerns, providing advice, evaluating and offering possible courses of action.Development and maintenance of job descriptions for all positions.Conduct wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate and compensation programs.Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.Contributes as project leader or contributor on various department initiatives. Recommends new approaches and new ideas to effect continual improvements in the department and the services the department
provides.
Skills/Qualifications:Must be self-motivated and able to exercise independent judgment and make decisions, take ownership/accountability, and operate with minimal supervision. Hands-on position. Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple job openings and stay abreast of developments and trends in recruiting and internal staffing needs. Recruiting expertise and expert knowledge of internet search tools and strong sourcing strategies.Strong time management, organization and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail, accuracy and deadlines maintaining a focus on constant follow up and follow through.Proven performance in handling challenging human resource/recruitment issues in a diverse and dynamic environment with a full understanding of all applicable Federal, State and Municipal law regarding labor and employment; strong expertise in HR practices, procedures and policies. Requires an advanced knowledge and understanding of employment laws and principles and practices related to employee relations and legal compliance. High integrity, professionalism, discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality essential.Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills essential.Ability to travel 10% to various business sites, or attend job fairs.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years Human Resources experience, or equivalent education/work experience.3+ years successful recruiting experience, including strong sourcing and recruiting skills using the internet. Recruiting in Healthcare industry a plus.Experience creating and executing a wide range of recruiting initiatives.2+ years experience in performance management/employee relations, and policy and procedure creation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products including, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Access. Experience with ADP and Visio a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
· Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
· Ability to write business correspondence.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, clients, customers and the general public.
