Regional Field Sales/Customer Service Representative
Regional Field Sales/Customer Service Representative
Allied Building Stores, a leading wholesaler of forest products and building material products with over 40 years in the market, has an immediate opening for a dynamic sales professional with sales experience in forest products and building products. Assigned territory includes Alabama, Florida and Georgia. Primary focus will be the development of new business along with further penetration into existing accounts, account relations and retention.
Primary Responsibilities:Recruitment, retention, and development of customers in assigned territory. Travel throughout assigned territory to call on prospective customers to pursue recruitment opportunities. Work with company management and staff to drive growth in assigned territory. Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products. Handles outside sales functions in assigned territory. Services existing accounts by developing strong relationships with customers through timely, regular visits. Works with corporate staff to meet corporate goals. Displays or demonstrates products or programs, using samples, catalogs and company website. Prepare informational reports. Coordinates customer training. Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management; and following up to see that complaints are satisfactorily resolved. Attends trade shows and other company meetings as required.
Ideal candidates will have:Bachelor’s degree plus three years experience in the building supply, construction or related industry or equivalent combination of education and experience. Desire to live in assigned territory. Proven experience and confidence selling to major accounts. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Extensive knowledge of builder market and the construction industry. Proficient in computer operations (Word and Excel), a plus.
