Job Description
We are currently interviewing candidates for the role of Regional Sales Manager (RSM) in the North East (based in metro NY-NJ). The Regional Sales Manager must be highly self-motivated, results-driven, enthusiastic, and place an extremely high value on service-related sales. The RM will be responsible for developing the sales strategy for the region and leading a team of Market Manager(s), Indirect Account Executives, and Indirect Account Managers to serve the region. Responsibilities include: Achieving sales targets for the region, managing and meeting budgetary requirements, hiring, training, leading the sales team, and developing communication between the Regional Sales Office and our Corporate Headquarters in Irvine, CA.
Target customers range from small, independently owned businesses (including wireless retail stores, gas stations, & convenience stores) to larger chain store retailers. The RSM should give strategic insight and perspective to the leadership team and corporate HQ regarding market information or sales initiatives directed towards our target customers.
Applicants for the RSM position should demonstrate experience and success in outside selling (preferably in the Wireless Industry), leading and developing a team, and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, changing landscape. Approximately 40-45% travel will be required for the RSM role. Finally, the prospective candidate should be someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial growth environment and someone who desires to highly contribute to the success of the company.
Job Duties:
- Develop and implement sales strategy for the region.
- Hire, train, develop, and lead the sales team (Indirect Account Executives) within the region.
- Leading an Account Management team (inside sales and some customer service functionality) that conducts outbound calls to offer new and additional products (up-selling), and participate in customer-retention activities.
- Market visitations (MA, CT, NY, NJ, PA, MD, D.C.) to maintain communication with key clients and team members. 40-45% travel will be required.
- Attend monthly leadership meetings held at our corporate office in Irvine, CA.
- Achieving sales goals on multiple products (e.g. Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, Movida, 105 Accessories, ERI POS).
- Developing and enhancing communication between the Regional office as well as the Corporate Headquarters.
- Contribute towards the strategic initiatives of the overall organization
- Meeting market budgetary requirements.
- Develop marketing initiatives and general strategy while meeting budget requirements
- Provide strategic market information to Regional Headquarters.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key vendor representatives (e.g. Boost Market Account Executives, and etc.) and strategic partners.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of leading and acheiving results with a sales team
- Excellent people and communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate a high degree of personal organziation & motivation.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Bilingual candidates preferred, but not required.
- Ability to operate Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc).
- Familiarity with ACT or other CRM software preferred, but not required.
