Requirements Analyst w/ strong Process Skills, UML/Use Case, SDLC exp. (Permanent)

xScion Solutions is an IT professional services firm supporting commercial clients in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.  Our clients span the financial services, banking, educational and health insurance sectors.  We are currently recruiting for several strong, process-oriented Requirements Analysts for a leading health insurance company based in Washington, DC.  These are PERMANENT, full-time employment opportunities with our client.

 

NOTE:  Candidates must be local to the Washington, D.C. area.  Our client does not provide H1B sponsorship at this time, so candidates must be either a US Citizen or have a GreenCard or EAD.  No exceptions!

 

Job Overview:

 

You will be teamed up with an internal Requirement / Business Analyst team who have deep SME.  Must be able to learn and understand the health insurance business quickly.  You will supply the expertise in UML, Use Case Collaboration, and requirements traceability metrics and you will learn from each other.  Looking for candidates who are proactive and do more just gather requirements. Our client wants folks who will learn the business, take a leadership role, and make recommendations.

 

Job Responsibilities:Work closely with internal and external customers to gather requirements, define complex business rules that will support millions of healthcare consumers Work with other experts to transform those business rules to solutions Provide solutions expertise to customer



Job Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or similar major Expertise in RUP or other formal process using formalized requirements and requirements traceability matrixExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills 3-5+ years as a Business/Requirements Analyst Hands-on experience gathering and documenting user requirements Presenting and reviewing requirements with users to gain sign off Experience writing UML Use Cases and Collaboration Cases Document requirements using activity diagrams and use case specifications. SDLC knowledge



Desired Skills:Experience working in a changing IT environment where processes are being updated and people are adapting to change Healthcare medical insurance company experience Knowledge of business rules engine



Compensation Notes:

$77,500 - $90,000 based on experience and skills; 8% annual bonus at target; career growth, excellent benefits etc.
