Position Description:
MarketCast, a leading Los Angeles-based entertainment marketing research and consulting company, has an immediate opening for a creative individual seeking a career within a challenging, dynamic, and high growth environment, as a Research Analysis Coordinator. The job emphasizes coordination of film and television research projects, as well as analysis of audience responses to movies and movie advertisements.Specifically, the Research Analysis Coordinator will coordinate focus groups and provide hands-on support during the focus groups sessions. In addition, this position will be given the opportunity to assist in report writing and analysis for a wide variety of projects—from studio blockbusters to independent films to television shows. This can involve analyzing movie trailers and commercials as part of the Research Analysis team, and developing report writing skills, beginning with analyzing open-ended comments to help our clients better understand patterns of appeal. The Research Analysis Coordinator will also assist in reading green-lighted screenplays, writing storylines for marketing studies, and providing various Research Analysis support—such as proofing and submitting bound market-strategy reports.The successful candidate will have strong writing, organizational and communication skills, as well as be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. We are seeking an individual that has a passion for movies, the movie business, and the marketing trends that dictate the business side of entertainment.
