Research Analyst-Editor

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for content development, management and editorial across all Events and Publishing products. This includes Trendsmedia portals, telebriefings, and industry events

 

Core job functions include:

 

Events (program development)

·  Collaborate with Division President and other senior members of the YG research team to develop innovative program content that is high level, timely and relevant.

·  Recruiting and managing conference track chairs

·  Inviting and managing speakers, keynotes, etc.

·  Aiding sales team on sponsor calls and meetings

·  Coordinating activities with marketing department to recruit and coordinate program efforts with associations, partners and sponsors. Also, working with associations to create specialized programs within the event on topics relevant to certain major industry associations

Portals (editorial)

·  Managing relationships with YG analysts and industry thought-leaders to ensure a regular stream of high quality/independent incoming content

·  Writing a weekly letter from the editor

·  Occasional articles/opinion pieces

·  Updating the website with new content and press releases weekly

Magazines/Supplement (editorial)

·  Determining what content will be covered in the magazine

·  Recruiting content contributors and ensuring they meet deadlines

·  Contributing a cover story article or major interview for inclusion in the supplement

·  Editing materials

Telebriefings

·  Developing with division President and other thought leaders, topics, session descriptions and an editorial calendar at the beginning of each calendar year.  Assisting in coordination of the telebriefing and participating when needed.

 

 

Qualifications:

3-5 years relevant experience in the Communications, Technology and Media space

Working knowledge of industry conference and tradeshow development

Exceptional writing and editorial skills

Ability to effectively interact with  C-level executives

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
