Research Director

Position: Research Director

Location: Louisville, KY

Responsibilities:

The Research Director will manage multiple research projects simultaneously; managing multiple teams of primary and secondary research analysts, providing high-level analysis and quality control.  The Research Director communicates with Account Managers and clients to ensure the deliverable meets and exceeds the client’s expectations.

· -Manage multiple project teams made up of both organic and contract research analysts.

· -Communicate and interact with Account Managers and clients in order to understand project scope and anticipated deliverables.

· -Manage project teams and resources using standard PM practices.

· -Manage the collection and integration of primary and secondary research into a cohesive, succinct  deliverable that addresses research requirements.

-Ensure that all research findings have been validated prior to submission to clients.

· -Be prepared to support project teams in collection and analysis efforts when needed.

· -Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within budget and meet and exceed client’s expectations.

· -Present findings and analysis to clients (in person and virtual)

· -Communicate with Intellent Research management on issues related to project management, resource requirements, personnel issues, etc.

· -Help to create and improve on research, project management and reporting systems.

Requirements:

· Three or more years of experience as:

o a client-facing business/management consultant or project manager at a relevant vendor or provider

o a team leader or project manager for a major market research or competitive intelligence firm.

· -B.A./B.S. with a strong academic record. All undergraduate majors are welcome to apply. Business concentration is a plus.

· Ideal candidates will have:

o Strong written and verbal communication skills; samples may be requested

o Strong analytic capability; understanding of various analytic tools and techniques a plus

o Strong time management and organizational skills and an attention to detail

o Uncanny ability to multi-task, juggling several projects and project teams simultaneously

o Quick learner, able to digest new data and concepts quickly
