Research Director, Corporate Banking

Financial Insights provides extensive ongoing research and consulting services to users and providers of financial industry technology. Financial Insights covers retail and corporate banking, capital markets, and the insurance segments of financial services both on a global and regional basis.

Financial Insights, an IDC Company, is looking for a senior member of its internationally-recognized Corporate Banking research team. The Research Director position at Financial Insights is responsible for setting the overall course and direction for a research service area. The Research Director is a blend of a public role with many client-facing and industry-facing responsibilities, but with primary responsibility for producing the research product.

Maintaining financial industry and technology knowledge, and developing a trusted relationship with clients, is vital. The Research Director maintains responsibility for building the reputation and the revenues of the services within their practice and is responsible for delivering consulting and custom research within this domain. Responsibilities include managing the research agenda, conducting research, writing reports and other deliverables, helping with marketing activities to raise industry visibility, providing sales support, and acting as an advisor for both financial institutions and technology suppliers.

Successful candidates will have extensive experience in corporate banking and be able speak authoritatively on both business and technology trends and issues. Specifically, candidates should have a minimum of 15 years of related work experience with similar areas and levels of responsibility in either the financial services or technology industry covering technology related to corporate banking. The candidate must also possess excellent writing skills, analytical skills, and superior communication abilities. Bachelors Degree or the international equivalent is required. Advanced degree a plus. Experience with or in international work environments, preferably outside the United States is helpful. Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products required.
