Natural Wellness USA (NWUSA) has been formed to support American consumers' increasing interest in natural approaches to physical and emotional wellness. Natural Wellness will partner with Veria TV, a new television channel which will present informative and entertaining programming in many areas related to natural wellness.NWUSA will sell a wide range of wellness-related products (vitamins, herbal and nutritional supplements, natural and organic beauty care products, organic clothes and linens, books and educational media related to wellness, natural prepared foods, etc.) through a chain of retail wellness centers and a major website. In our retail wellness centers, we will also provide a range of wellness services. These will include personal services (for example, massage, facials, aromatherapy) and group services (for example, yoga classes, and seminars on issues in emotional wellness, women's health, etc.)
The Veria Operations Director is a store-based support position that is designed to extend the range and frequency of store contact and corporate support. This person will participate in store start-ups, store remodels and daily operations in Veria stores. A successful candidate must be versatile and experienced in a broad range of retail skill sets as well as possess a desire to learn. Priorities in this position include but are not limited to design and execution of Veria retail marketing plans, training and staff development both on site and via Web communications, growing comparative sales in stores, competition review and analysis, and increasing retail net profitability. In addition to this, this individual will be charged with further refining the Store Team Leader position and the tools that help these individuals succeed.
Responsibilities include:
Major focus on opening new centers throughout the country over the next 12-24 months
Develop and implement weekly product and merchandising strategies for stores. Maintain retail merchandising standards in stores.
Execute the regional marketing plan at store level.
Assist in the hiring and training of store level leadership - including local staff members and associates.
Train and develop staff in assigned retail locations.
Oversee and be first point of contact for Store Managers.
Track trends and activities in the retail market place.
Drive store openings, resets, and remodels
Assist in special projects as defined by the Retail Vice President.
Requirements include:
3 –5 years' industry experience in retail field supervision. Successful leadership experience a big plus!
Experience in the design and execution of retail marketing plans, training and staff development, growing comparative sales in stores, competition review and analysis, and increasing retail net profitability.
A deep passion and enthusiasm for customer service and wellness
Experience in retail merchandising and maintaining high retail standards.
An understanding of retail margin management systems.
Experience with human resource management, excellent people and communication skills.
Overall management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and observe budgets.
Flexibility and resourcefulness to adjust as we learn from our experiences in this start-up business environment.
Creativity, passion, and a commitment to helping consumers enhance their physical and emotional wellness.
Experience with supplements and natural body care, and organic products in a retail setting a plus.
**NOTE** This position involves 75-90% travel to major cities in the United States.
