The FSO's Risk Advisory Services (RAS) unit is a specialty practice that provides integrated advisory services to financial institutions and other capital markets participants, including commercial banks, investment banks, broker-dealers, asset managers (traditional and alternative), insurance and energy trading companies, and other organizations. The solution offerings provided by the RAS unit include: finance improvement' operations improvement, market, credit and operational risk management, regulatory advisory, quantitative advisory, structured finance transaction, actuarial, technology enablement, risk and security, program advisory, and process & controls. The RAS team includes individuals who have industry, client and product knowledge as well as quantitative, regulatory, project management and technology professionals. Our teams build skills which are both broad and deep while working on diverse projects with a sophisticated client base. Within EY's Risk Advisory Technology and Information Services practice, we are currently seeking a Manager who will be responsible for managing multiple client engagements and other related activities. This professional will manage engagement teams that assist clients in employing proper information systems, resources, and controls to maximize efficiencies and minimize risk. The successful candidate will also work with client personnel to analyze, evaluate, and enhance information systems facilitating the business internal control process, and will assist clients and other Technology and Information professionals in performing information technology (IT) control and security engagements, as well as in performing audits of financial statements and other attest services.ResponsibilitiesWork with the team and the client to create plans for accomplishing engagement objectives and a strategy that complies with professional standards and addresses the risks inherent in the engagement. Brief the audit team on the client's IT environment and industry IT trends. Maintain relationships with client management to manage expectations of service, including work products, timing, and the value to be delivered.Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex information systems and apply it to client situations. Use extensive knowledge of the client's business/industry to identify technological developments and evaluate impacts on the client's business. Demonstrate excellent project management skills, inspire teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members, and use current technology/tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess what the firm can deliver to bring value to clients. Generate new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions to present to clients. To qualify, candidates must have: an undergraduate or graduate degree in business, accounting, finance, computer science, information systems, engineering and/or a related major a minimum of 5 years of experience working as an auditor for a public accounting firm or particular systems/technology experience to meet special needs a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience would be acceptable for those holding a relevant graduate degree advanced written and verbal communication skills excellent project management skills excellent leadership and teamwork skills demonstrated integrity within a professional environmentThe successful candidate must also be actively pursuing related professional certifications and/or hold CPA certification.
