The FSO's Risk Advisory Services (RAS) unit is a specialty practice that provides integrated advisory services to financial institutions and other capital markets participants, including commercial banks, investment banks, broker-dealers, asset managers (traditional and alternative), insurance and energy trading companies, and other organizations. The solution offerings provided by the RAS unit include: finance improvement' operations improvement, market, credit and operational risk management, regulatory advisory, quantitative advisory, structured finance transaction, actuarial, technology enablement, risk and security, program advisory, and process & controls. The RAS team includes individuals who have industry, client and product knowledge as well as quantitative, regulatory, project management and technology professionals. Our teams build skills which are both broad and deep while working on diverse projects with a sophisticated client base. Within Ernst & Young's Risk Advisory Technology and Information Services practice, we are currently seeking IT Audit and IT Risk Seniors to participate in and supervise multiple client engagement teams and other related activities. This professional will serve as a fieldwork leader to assist clients in employing proper information systems, resources, and controls to maximize efficiencies and minimize risk. The successful candidate will work with client personnel to analyze, evaluate, and enhance information systems facilitating the business internal control process, and will assist clients and other Technology and Information professionals in performing information technology control and security engagements. Collaborate with other members of the engagement team to plan the engagement and develop work programs timelines, risk assessments, and other planning documents. Work with the audit team to document the business processes dependent on information technology. Ensure high quality in client service by directing daily progress of fieldwork, informing supervisors of engagement status, and managing staff performance. Demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of complex information systems. Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry IT trends to identify the engagement and client service issues, and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations. Demonstrate and apply strong project management skills, inspire teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members, and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services. To qualify for this position offering excellent opportunities for career advancement to the right professional, candidates must have: - A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering and/or other appropriate academic major - A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as an IT auditor for a public accounting firm or have particular systems/technology experience within a financial services organization or professional services firm - Excellent teamwork and communication skills - Demonstrated integrity with a professional environment Candidates should also be actively pursuing a related professional certification and/or CPA certification.
