SALES REPRESENTATIVE (HIGH LEVEL/TECHNICAL)

Aaron Equipment Company, located in the O’Hare area, is seeking applicants for our high-level Sales Representative position.  We provide our customers with quality equipment, dependable service and competitive prices. This customer satisfaction has earned Aaron Equipment an International reputation as one of the world's leading dealers in the Process Equipment Industry. Throughout the past half century and into the new millennium, this commitment to customer satisfaction will continue to be the foundation for our success. Aaron Equipment's inventory contains the largest selection of process equipment in the industry. We constantly work with all of our customers to provide both capital equipment (new & “pre-owned”) and ongoing assessment of those needs, from single machines to large plants and processes.

 

The Sales Representative is responsible for interacting with both new and existing customers to increase sales of a wide range of process equipment, generate sales quotations, and handle customer inquiries.  The Sales Representative must be able to effectively work within the sales & and support team comprised of more than fifty professionals dedicated to servicing the customer's needs.  The right candidate will deal with a steady marathon of business transactions with both large Fortune 500 and family-owned companies.  

 

Aaron Equipment’s sales process involves extensive and effective use of the internet to generate hundreds of Request for Quotations weekly from both existing customers and prospects. These are distributed to the sales group daily. Sales Reps review and answer quotes using a combination of knowledge and computer based tools and they prioritize opportunities and spend much time in prospect follow-up to further assist the equipment selection process with further information and build relationships.  Many of the sales occur within 7-14 days due to the customer’s urgency.  Most of the presentation of the equipments’ benefits and feature are done over the telephone and via email.  Once a decision to buy has been made, the new buyer will often visit Aaron Equipment for an inspection.  During this sales process, the Sales Representatives are also expected to develop opportunities to purchase quality equipment from the prospective buyer which the buyer no longer uses.

 

Working primarily out of the Bensenville facility, you will deal with clients throughout the world. Preferred qualifications include an AA degree, Bachelor Degree preferred; 5+ years of demonstrated & successful relevant sales experience, preferably within the technical field; engineering process knowledge also highly desirable; knowledge of general business practices; and the ability to speak Spanish is a plus.Also, we expect our salespeople to be professionals so we do not micro-manage their work day. As such, you must be highly skilled in time management and self-directed in the activities of your day. The successful candidate must be pro-active in the sales process to quickly define a prospect’s real need and urgency to buy and thus prioritize time and attention accordingly and have a strong ability to discern a productive relationship with potential clients. Therefore, experience with using the telephone as a primary sales tool to build relationships and effectively present equipment benefits and features to motivate visits to the warehouse and possessing the stamina to consistently work a daily volume of high quality new prospect and customer inquiries from our online catalog are requirements of the position.
