GOLF SAVINGS BANK'S ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT IS OFFERING A FULL TIME POSITION TO PROVIDE SUPPLEMENTAL SQL SERVER DATABASE ADMINISTRATION, DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT.

 

Job Description

MS SQL Server DBA with .Net programming skills

Level: Intermediate

 

The candidate will assist in managing MS SQL Server databases, performing SQL server administration, database performance monitoring, tuning, security, and maintaining and troubleshooting.  The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that development, testing, staging and product on database environments are maintained and up to date. Create new enterprise applications using ASP .Net framework and support existing programmed using Visual Studio 2005 Team Server.

 

Essential Functions:

·  Conduct routine maintenance of tables, indexes, storage and logs.

·  Responsible for reliable backup and recovery of database files and logs.

·  Conduct database performance tuning and capacity planning activities.

·  Utilize MS SQL Reporting Services to develop and deploy corporate reports.

·  Maintain and update database documentation including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary ('metadata').

·  Engage in complex technical projects and upgrades through the use of project management tools and methodologies.

·  Create and maintain enterprise applications using ASP .Net in C#.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

·  Experience maintaining database servers in a high availability, (24/7) production environment.

·  Knowledge and experience in backup and recovery including point-in-time recovery, creation of highly normalized data structures, security, log shipping, log file review and creation of DTS packages, stored procedures, views, scripts, etc.

·  Thorough knowledge of MS network operating systems, database applications, reporting, and .Net development tools.

·  Familiarity with SDLC standards and deliverables.

·  Ability to solve complex problems and perform accurate analysis.

·  Must have excellent interpersonal and excellent written & oral communications skills are essential.

·  Ability to plan, organize and complete work as scheduled and provide regular weekly communications.

·  Must be self-motivated, self-starter, interested in learning new technologies and willing to share knowledge.
