Sales Representative/ Account Executive

Job Description: The Outside Sales Account Executive is responsible for qualifying leads generated from company partner channels and direct marketing programs, and managing resulting sales opportunities to produce sales revenue. Additional responsibilities include managing Strategic Partner communication plans, maintaining company’s CRM lead and prospect database, and working with the company’s marketing department to execute marketing and other lead generation programs. Success in the position requires effective skill sets in: sales & marketing, industrial distribution and industrial process automation, Maintenance Repair & Operating (MRO) Supplies, technology applications, Supply Chain Management and inventory management.
Major Responsibilities:
A. Manage Sales Opportunities Qualifying leads and opportunities using pre-qualification data from current partner base and direct marketing campaignsProvide initial web-based presentations on company Value-Message to new prospects in order to define and classify opportunities. Review prospect data and work with inside sales and Regional Sales Director to manage assigned qualified opportunities.Provide quotation and proposal development, program selling, order processing, customer relationship management, cost improvement documentation, program management, and other support duties as required by Regional Sales Director and/or VP of Sales.
B. Communication Develop and execute communication plans for each Strategic Partner based on individual needs and markets. Manage lead processes and outside sales opportunities using company CRM database. Provide follow-up marketing materials to all lead contacts from direct marketing, and partner marketing campaigns; and select telecommunication where applicable.Generate reports through company CRM and other potential sources that identify: leads to prospects; prospects to customer ratios.
· Report statistics and status on leads and inside sales opportunities to sales management on a weekly basis.
C. Sales Revenue/Pipeline Management
· Manage sales process of assigned outside sales opportunities from initial presentation to closure, achieving quarterly revenue goals based on pre established sales quota.
· Forecast quarterly sales revenue of inside sales opportunities.
· Maintain an active and inactive pipeline of sales prospects using the company CRM database
D. Other Sales Support Activities
· Participate in select partner sales training and promotional events (some travel required).
· Participate in company sales meetings (quarterly travel required)
· Work closely with Marketing to launch and execute targeted marketing campaigns and events.
Requirements:
· 4+ years of proven success utilizing consultative selling skills in an industrial market.
· Strong interpersonal and customer service skills for effective communication with front-line manager to corporate-level prospects.
· Competent knowledge of sales processes and CRM database management.
· Technical knowledge of information software and hardware systems.
· Knowledge of supply chain management and lean manufacturing principles
· Strong analytical skills, business judgment, MRO industry market knowledge, and experience using PC based programs.
· BS/BA degree
Measurements of this department will include the following Deliverables:Outside Sales Opportunity RevenueNumber of leads qualified to prospect and customer statusAchieved Management by Objectives goals and initiatives, quarterly.
Compensation: Compensation will include a base salary plus commission (will commensurate education and qualifications).
