This position is a mid-level product manager position and will be responsible for managing and improving one of our key systems, Salesforce.com. As such the incumbent must have an understanding of product management functions as well as solid knowledge Salesforce.com or similar GUI based web applications. Additionally the incumbent has full life cycle responsibilities for the assigned product platform. Position is responsible for understanding technical concepts related to Salesforce and translating market ideas into technology requirements for our technology staff.


 

Responsibilities
1. Has responsibility for a product or products, which for this particular role is Salesforce.com.
2. Participates in meetings with key stakeholders, gathers user requirements, and handles change management for product enhancements.
3. Works with Project Management and Development on new product roll-outs and product enhancement releases.
4. Develops business plans, product strategy and forecasts for Salesforce.
5. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements
6. Develops, under the guidance of a senior product manager, product platform strategies.
7. Understands and is able to explain from a technical perspective existing functionality, as well as future requirements, related to the assigned product.
8. Participates in projects, led by Project Management, to implement changes and enhancements to Salesforce.com.
9. Has end-to-end responsibility for assigned product(s).
10. Insures compliance with all Association and governmental regulations
11. Creates and updates product documentation used internally.
12. Performs research and document results to create a business case that supports a proposed new product or existing product enhancement.
13. Disburses information internally and externally in support of product initiatives.


Qualifications
1. Education/Experience
-- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field with 3+ years of product or project management experience in a technical industry required.
-- At least one year of previous experience working with Salesforce.com.

3. Skills or Special Abilities
-- Excellent knowledge of computer software systems including Microsoft Word and Excel.
-- Knowledge of credit card industry or data processing preferred.
-- Must have strong organizational skills to plan, organize and schedule resources.
-- Ability to provide analytical processes in researching and resolving issues.
-- Skill in understanding customer needs and providing quality customer service.
-- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
