EOE M/F/D/V Security Officer The San Mateo Branch is currently expanding and is looking to hire qualified candidates to work in San Mateo and the Peninsula area.Job Purpose:Maintains safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.Duties include:* Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; restricting/permitting entry.* Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.* Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.* Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.* Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.* Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results as needed.Skills/Qualifications:Surveillance Skills, Objectivity, Dependability, Emotional Control, Integrity, Safety Management, Professionalism, Reporting Skills, Customer Service Skills.Minimum Hiring Requirements:Must have access to reliable transportation, ability to obtain a Guard Card, ability to work a flexible schedule (Day, Swing or Grave), proficient in English Language, at least 18 years of age, high school diploma or GED (or ability to participate in Company's GED program).Application Process: Please submit your application online at http://www.securitasjobs.com.
