The International Securities Exchange is currently recruiting a dynamic Business Analyst to join our Product Management team. The qualified individual will be responsible for acting as an interface between our Options business unit and the platform development and implementation areas. They will also be involved in creating and assembling detailed business requirement specifications for new products/applications and product/application enhancements.

 

 

Responsibilities to include:

 

· Participate in identifying user requirements by working on teams with a number of key individuals representing business and technology

· Document, communicate, and review requirements with product and project team members and sponsors

· Identify and document the impact of the requirements on existing systems and data

· Manage deadlines and work to meet feature requirements and customer expectations

· Assist in developing of testing plans, scenarios and scripts and participate in user acceptance testing

· Assemble, complete and distribute updates to key ISE documents for developers, testers, change management and our customers

 

Experience Required:

 Must have previous experience writing business requirements and training materialsMust be familiar with formal requirements gathering and management processWorking knowledge of system design, architecture and application programming/analysisIn-depth understanding of the software development life cycleStrong knowledge of equity or derivatives products, market data feeds, trade lifecycle and post-trade processingUnderstanding of the FIX financial messaging protocol a plusBachelors degree in Finance, Engineering, Math, or Economics with a minimum 5-7 years of IT business analysis experiencePrevious experience in equity or derivatives trading technology for an exchange or brokerage/financial firm is preferable

 

Results Expected: Ability to learn details of managed applications quicklyAble to handle dynamic trading environment and prioritization of projects/issues among a large client baseAccurate and thorough requirements analysisTimely completion of requirements specificationsStrong attention to detailManagement of multiple analysis projects for various applications, developed internally and by other solution providersEffective communication and coordination with development, test and implementation colleagues, which will include external organizationKnow and apply best practices in requirements management
