Senior Communications Strategist - Americas Communications and Marketing - 00GZF
The Communications Consultant is responsible for developing and managing the implementation of the integrated communications strategy for the Ernst & Young Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team. This individual will develop and oversee the implementation of integrated plans to communicate important issues, strategies, and messages both internally and externally to current employees, potential employees, clients, alumni, business leaders, the general public, and other key stakeholders. Collateral materials will be developed with others in Americas Communications and Marketing (ACM) and may include all communications media, including print, video, electronic channels, intranet, Webcasts, speeches and supporting audio-visual materials. The Communications Consultant will supervise ACM and/or internal client group project managers and other team members in creating communications materials related to their projects, and lead cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: Extract key objectives of internal client group, provide advice and counsel on appropriate messages and communication channels, and develop integrated communications strategy, message and plans. Oversee the implementation of such strategies and plans. Coordinate the development of appropriate collateral for internal and external audiences. Serve as the liaison to internal (e.g. Daily Connection, Sub-Area Liaison, Partner-Principal Communications) and external (e.g. ey.com, ey.com/careers, alumni Website) channels for content relating to the CSR team. Work as needed with colleagues in ACM to bring the right resources to the table. Develop internal and external presentations and speaking guidelines to assist EY leadership and others to communicate information regarding the CSR group and its strategic initiatives to internal and external stakeholders. Serve as ACM's primary point of contact for the CSR group. Team with counterpart for internal client group in Americas Public Relations, and with others throughout Ernst & Young. Build relationships with others in the Americas and local communications and marketing functions to ensure that CSR's communication strategies and activities are integrated into firmwide communications (internal and external) Serve as a key member of ACM teams supporting firmwide initiatives, special projects, and events (e.g. Americas Partners and Principals Meeting). In consultation with the CSR group, the Americas Recruiting Marketing Leader, Americas Public Relations, and others as appropriate, determine what (if any) firmwide reputational awards would support the group's strategic objectives. Oversee the production, submission, and promotion of such awards A minimum of a Bachelor's degree 10-15 years as a communications professional, including change management experience Professional Services industry experience is a plus. Strategic project management experience a plus. Corporate Social Responsibility or some other cause-related business issue a plus Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills Executive presence and the ability to work effectively with senior management Strong influencing and consensus building skills Ability to anticipate trends and issues that will affect clients' messages and strategies Must be flexible to changing needs and assignments Some travel required NY-New York
