Senior Cost Analyst Summary

Our client, one of the fastest growing companies in the Chicago area, is looking for a Senior Cost Analyst to join their team.

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will play a critical role as part of the corporate finance team. You will provide cross functional analysis to sales, product development, procurement and finance with the primary focus on identifying profit enhancement opportunities.


Senior Cost Analyst DutiesMaintenance of all cost plus invoicing and pricing support for ingredients, packaging, capital and assembly charges with emphasis on contract compliance and profit maximization relative to tiered pricing arrangements, pass through of capital costs, cost reduction sharing arrangements and cost of value added services. Monthly cost roll including inbound freight analysis and analysis of material component costs Perform monthly close including GL account and COGS analysis, rebates, procurement initiatives and spend analysis.Develop, coordinate and analyze semi-annual budgeting process.Provide support to procurement VP regarding cost reduction opportunities and analysis. Analyze ingredient and packaging unit costs to determine trends, opportunities for cost improvement and accuracy.Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly customer profitability analysis and develop, coordinate and analyze semi-annual budgeting process.

 


Essential Senior Cost Analyst Skills & Characteristics 5-10 years of accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment
